In this update, we’ll share some thoughts on breast cancer screenings, community partnerships, health technology, and student health centers.

Tuhina Venkatayogi, DNP, Primary Care Provider
"October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a great reminder to know what’s “normal” for you. Breasts can naturally feel lumpy or tender in certain spots, so the goal isn’t a rigid monthly checklist. It’s simply being familiar enough with the usual look and feel of your breasts that you’d notice a change. Rather than scheduled self-exams (which can often cause unnecessary worry), focus on breast self-awareness and let us do the checking:

If anything feels off, don’t wait for your next appointment. Call us and come in. Booking your physical or women’s health exam is the best step you can take this month.

Steve Stollman, Roseville, CA Center Manager
“Earlier this year, Beale Air Force Base’s on-site health clinic hit a stretch of limited capacity, and our Roseville clinic stepped up to support their service members and families. We see all kinds of patients from our community, but there’s something special about caring for those who serve.
This kind of partnership reflects our mission: to make great healthcare accessible for all. We’re proud to keep finding new ways to reach people who need care.”

Kerem Ozkay, Chief Executive Officer
“Health technology is a big part of our story at Carbon Health. I recently spoke with Authority Magazine about digital transformation in healthcare, and our belief that the best tech is the kind that patients never notice. That way, our patients and providers have more time for what matters: good health. If you’re curious about health tech, at least how we see it, give the interview a read.”

Alexandra Malizia, Boston, MA Center Manager
“A successful campus health center depends on a strong operating model, like any large scale business, to best care for their students and employees. From staffing and licensing to clinical standards and daily operations, that’s what we bring to Colleges of the Fenway in Boston. We provide the expertise and support of a fully staffed, professionally run health center that is built to meet the unique needs of each campus partner.”
